Credentials
I am a trained linguist and a simultaneous bilingual, raised by parents in their native languages, English and German.

Pursuing my passion in the field of language, I took my first steps into the world of linguistic sciences during my Bachelor's degree in English and American Studies at the University of Vienna, Austria.
I deepened my knowledge in applied linguistics, psycholinguistics and SLA during my Master's at the University of Salzburg, Austria and at Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand. During both studies, writing academic papers was my bread and butter and proofreading colleagues' papers quickly became my avocation. What started as a pastime, marked the birth of vice versa and is now my vocation.
While abroad in Vancouver, Canada, I obtained my qualification as a CELTA-certified English Language Teacher in Adult Education (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults, University of Cambridge, England).
My experience in the field of academic editing and coaching ranges from various departments at the University of Vienna to the University of Salzburg and the Seeburg Castle University.

I learned the ropes of traditional book editing at Amalthea Signum Publishing House in Vienna. My professional portfolio is comprised of translations for marketing campaigns and websites for small and larger companies. I also count proofreading and editing of professional application documents among my skill set.
As a CELTA-certified language trainer, I am happy to be teaching English in adult education.

Throughout all stages of my education and professional career, curiosity and passion have been my constant companions. Through my work I hope to reflect this passion, as "the limits of our language are the limits of our world" (Ludwig Wittgenstein).
